lyrics

Awake and walking through broken glass,
I must’ve dozed off a couple years ago.
How long have I been out? And who’s missing now?
Is it anyone I give a shit about?

We’re sick and lost.
Somewhere in that ghost town I must’ve got tossed.
Maybe I fell on my way into bed?
If I had to guess? We’re already dead.

But how many times have we been here before?
Waking up soaked in sweat on the floor.

I guess I’m having trouble keeping track of where we’re at.
I could read back a week or ten years through this daydream like haze
And not tell if we’ve left or we’re back.
But I hope for all our sakes;
Our bloodied heels and hands,
The things we’ve done,
And the people we’ve lost
This will all be worth it in the end.

The moments that we share,
The air that we breathe,
It seems to me
To be ever fleeting.

Soundly sleeping in the deep end.
